The Monastery of Panagia Vrontiani in Samos will celebrate the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, one of the major religious feasts of the Orthodox Church, with solemnity and devotion.
On Saturday, September 5, a pre-feast Divine Liturgy will be held from 07:30 to 10:00. On Monday, September 7, the eve of the feast, the Great Festal Vespers with Artoklasia will take place from 19:00 to 21:00, presided over by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Arianzus.
On Tuesday, September 8, the day of the feast, Matins and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated from 07:00 to 10:30. The ordination of Deacon Dimitrios Eleftheriou to the priesthood will take place during the Divine Liturgy, followed by a procession of the sacred icon of Panagia around the church. A Paraklesis service to the Most Holy Theotokos will be held at 18:30.
The monastery will remain open to pilgrims outside the service hours: Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 15:00, Monday from 09:00 to 23:00, and Tuesday from 07:00 to 20:30.
