The presentation of Stathis Gotsis’s book “Museum, Education and Society” will take place at the Historical Archive of Samos on Saturday, 10 October, at 7:00 p.m. It is organised by the General State Archives (GAK), Samos Department; the Association of Primary School Teachers and Kindergarten Teachers of Samos; and the Samos Union of Secondary Education Teachers (ELME), in collaboration with Topos Publishers.
The book makes an important contribution to the field of museum education, exploring the relationship between museums, society and educational practice. Drawing on theoretical approaches and extensive experience in educational activities, it highlights the museum's potential as a space of inclusion, active learning and social integration.
It focuses on initiatives that seek to transform the museum into a place of encounter, understanding, dialogue and participation, where the past communicates with the present.
