The 4th Mediterranean Documentary Film Festival “Mediterranean Dialogues” takes place in Karlovasi from 24 to 27 September 2026, at the renovated Old Customs House in the port.
The programme features 21 documentaries from Egypt, France, Greece, Palestine, Italy, Cyprus and Turkey. The films explore social, historical and environmental issues, and all screenings include Greek and English subtitles. Admission is free.
The festival begins on Thursday, 24 September at 20:30 with a pre-festival screening of the documentary “The Prophetic Bird of the Sorrows of Paul Klee”, written and directed by Kostas Sfikas. The official opening will take place on Friday, 25 September at 18:00.
The programme also includes tributes to Dimitris Koutsiabasakos and Dimitris Makris, masterclasses, discussions and educational activities for children.
