The Municipality of Western Samos invites the public to events in Karlovasi commemorating the national anniversary of Oxi Day and 28 October 1940.
On Tuesday, 27 October, at 10:00, talks will be held in primary and secondary schools by teachers appointed by the school principals.
At 11:30, a pilgrimage, memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial, attended by students and Guides led by professors, teachers and Guide leaders, in the presence of representatives of public, municipal and military authorities. The philharmonic band will also be present at the memorial.
