On Sunday, 1 November 2026, the Samos Speleological Association “Eupalinus” invites the public to an excursion in the Marathokampos area.
Participants will visit the Cave of Pythagoras, known for its unique 2,500-year-old entrance door, as well as Panagia Sarantaskaliotissa, with its 40 stone steps and distinctive frescoes.
Meeting time is 09:00 at Marathokampos Square. Participants should bring hiking clothes and footwear, a hat, backpack, water and snacks.
The excursion is open to everyone, whether or not they are members of the association. Participation costs €5 to support the association; children, young people up to 22 years old and members in good financial standing participate free of charge.
