The Holy Metropolis of Samos, Ikaria and the Corsi Islands and the Parish Church of Saint Anthony in Marathokampos announce the liturgical programme for the feast of the Church of Panagia Myrtiotissa, located next to the Marathokampos Lyceum and below the Parish Church of Saint Anthony.
On Wednesday, 23 September, at 17:00, a Small Vespers service will be held, followed at 19:00 by the Great Festive Vespers (all-night vigil), after the Entrance and Artoklasia.
On Thursday, 24 September, at 07:00, the Festive Matins service will be held, followed at 08:30 by the Festive Divine Liturgy. At 09:45, there will be a procession of the holy and wonderworking icon, blessing of the loaves, and a supplication for health. At 17:00, a special supplication service to the Most Holy Theotokos Myrtiotissa will be chanted.
A sermon will be given at each service. Food and refreshments will be offered.
